Can we get a little more Hugh Grant up in here!
Yes you heard it right! The 2003 hit movie Love Actually is actually reuniting! Some of the movies biggest stars like Hugh Grant, Kira Knightly, Liam Neeson and the rest of the gang with appear together in a short film for the Red Nose Day special on NBC airing in May. The short film is called “Red Nose Day Actually” and it will highlight where your favorite Love Actually characters are today. The Movies director and writer Richard Curtis said quote, “It seemed like a fun idea this year to do a special sketch based one of my films, since Red Nose Day is now in both the UK and America. I would never have dreamt of writing a sequel to ‘Love Actually,’ but I thought it might be fun to do 10 minutes to see what everyone is now up to.” Curtis also jokes about seeing which character has aged the best to which he also jokingly says, “ or is it so obviously Liam?”
We have plenty of photos of the cast on set filming the short film to hold us over until May, including Liam and Thomas Brodie who played step father and son, as well as Olivia Olson who played Thomas’s love interest to which we all remember the famous scene where he runs through the airport to meet her.
Director Richard Curtis also states, “We’ve been delighted and grateful that so many of the cast are around and able to take part – and it’ll certainly be a nostalgic moment getting back together and recreating their characters 14 years later.”
